Milestone Privacy Policy
At Milestone, we understand the importance of protecting your personal information and we are committed to maintaining your privacy. We have developed this Privacy Policy to explain what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information Collection and Use – Personal information, such as your name, email address, and phone number – Location information, such as your GPS location – Device information, such as your device model and operating system – Usage information, such as how you use the app
We use this information to provide you with the best possible service, including: – Dispatching you on loads that match your preferences – Contacting you with updates and information about the app – Analyzing your usage of the app to improve the service
Sharing of Information We will not share your personal information with any third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide you with the service.
Security We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet-based service can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.
Data Retention We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service. Specifically: – Account information (name, email, phone number) is retained for the lifetime of your account and for up to 90 days after account closure to handle any final billing, disputes, or support requests. – Location information is retained for up to 12 months to support dispatching, route history, and load verification, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymized. – Device and usage information is retained for up to 24 months for analytics and service improvement, after which it is anonymized or deleted. – Records that we are required to keep for legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory reasons (for example, completed-load and payment records) may be retained for up to 7 years, as required by applicable law.
Once retention periods expire, your information is either permanently deleted from our systems or anonymized so it can no longer be associated with you.
Data Deletion You have the right to request deletion of your personal information at any time. You can do this in either of the following ways:
- In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Request Account Deletion, and follow the prompts.
- By email: Send a deletion request to co*****@*****hx.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity and delete your personal information within 30 days. Please note that some information may be retained after deletion where required by law (for example, transaction and tax records), or in anonymized form for analytics. If any data cannot be deleted for legal reasons, we will let you know what is being kept and why.
Changes to Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by posting the new policy on our website and app.
